Wednesday, Dec. 15, 9 a.m. -11:30 a.m. - Milk & Cookies with Santa. Come for crafts, stories, and pictures with Santa. Milk and cookies will be our refreshments.

Dec. 31-Jan. 1 - Library closed for New Year’s holiday

If you need a break from all the holiday hustle and bustle, we have some great new titles to get lost in.

For our nonfiction readers:

Peril by Bob Woodward. Bob Woodward and Robert Costa cover the end of the Trump presidency and the early months of the Biden presidency.

The boys: a memoir of Hollywood and family by Ron Howard & Clint Howard. With the perspective of time and success—Ron as a filmmaker, producer, and Hollywood A-lister, Clint as a busy character actor—the Howard brothers delve deep into an upbringing that seemed normal to them yet was anything but.

To rescue the republic: Ulysses S. Grant, the fragile Union, and the crisis of 1876 by Bret Baier. A riveting reassessment of Ulysses S. Grant, arguing that the great Civil War commander's battle to save the Union continued to the very end of his presidency when a crisis threatened to fracture the still fragile nation once again.

Great fiction reads:

Game on: tempting twenty-eight by Janet Evanovich. #28 in the Stephanie Plum series

Autopsy: a Scarpetta novel by Patricia Cornwell. Scarpetta is back! In this 25th in the electrifying, landmark No. 1 bestselling thriller series chief medical examiner Dr. Kay Scarpetta hunts an ingenious killer who has mastered cutting-edge science for the most nefarious ends.

Go tell the bees that I am gone by Diana Gabaldon. It is 1779 and Claire and Jamie are at last reunited with their daughter, Brianna, her husband, Roger, and their children on Fraser's Ridge.

Rogue Asset by Brian Andrews. The secretary of state has been kidnapped by Islamic extremists and his only hope for survival is a reconstituted Presidential Agent team.
