Christmas on Marshall St. to be held on Dec. 2

Gatesville Independent School District will present Christmas on Marshall St. on Saturday, Dec. 2 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will be held on the corner of Marshall St. and Hornet Way.

The event will feature food, crafts, jewelry, Santa, activities for children, homemade items, gifts, Avon, tumblers, hornet gear, and more.

Each campus will provide fundraising booths in addition to outdoor Christmas vendors. There will be various school clubs and organizations as well as local nonprofits.

List of activities to be held at each campus:

Gatesville Primary School

-          Have your pictures made with Santa

Gatesville Elementary School

-          Various items, including spirit wear

Gatesville Intermediate School

-          Eclipse glasses

-          Art created by students

Gatesville Junior High School

-          Letters to Santa

-          Decorating Christmas cookies

-          Crafting activities for children to participate in

-          Baked goods, hot chocolate, and wassail

Gatesville High School

-          Christmas petting zoo

-          Cookies in a jar

-          3D printed pocket pets

-          Handmade Christmas wooden items

-          Fresh wreaths and poinsettias

-          Inflatables

-          Christmas gifts

-          Free children’s games

Community Vendors

-          Jams and jellies

-          Handcrafted jewelry

-          Handmade soaps

-          Textiles

-          Christmas baked goods

-          Custom tumblers

-          Free children’s games

-          Gift shop for children

-          Free Christmas games

-          Food vendors

-          Christmas choirs and dancers

-          Mr. and Mrs. Claus

There will also be a Deck the Paws Dog Costume Parade during the event at noon. Admission is free to the public. Prizes will go to first, second, and third place.
