Letter to the Editor

Posted

Dear editor,

I am writing to express my strong support for the Texas Independence Referendum Act, which would allow Texans to vote on the question of Texas independence. This is a fundamental right of self-determination that all Texans should have.

As a resident of Coryell County, I believe that it is important for our state to have the ability to make decisions that are in our best interest. The Texas Independence Referendum Act would give us the opportunity to vote on whether we want to remain a part of the United States or become our own sovereign nation.

Many argue that Texas becoming an independent nation is a radical idea, but it is important to remember that Texas was once its own sovereign nation before it joined the United States in 1845. The right to self-determination is a fundamental right that is protected by the Texas Constitution, and it is time for us to exercise that right.

I urge our legislators to support the Texas Independence Referendum Act and give Texans the opportunity to vote on our future. The people of Texas deserve to have a say in the direction of our state and the future of our children and grandchildren.

If anyone would like to learn more about this important legislation, I'd urge them to go to www.TexitNow.org.

Sincerely,

Will Kacy
