Carolyn Ann Fuchs Beadle, age 80, of Gatesville, went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 24, 2023.

Carolyn was born on November 2, 1942, in Kingsville to Henry and Gertrude Fuchs. Growing up in the farm fields of Bishop, she developed a love of the outdoors and plants and singing in the church choir. After graduation from high school, she attended Texas Lutheran College.

While studying at Houston Baptist Hospital in Houston, Texas, she was introduced to the love of her life, Norman Lynn Beadle by his sister, Normel Beadle. Carolyn and Lynn were married on November 23, 1963, at Ft. Hood and started making memories together while Lynn was in the military. They took full advantage of every place they were stationed and loved to travel together. While stationed overseas in Germany, they traveled and camped extensively throughout Europe collecting memorabilia and artifacts that they enjoyed talking about throughout their lifetime together.

She retired after many years of service as the Campus Director for Central Texas College in Gatesville. Lynn and Carolyn recently relocated to Corpus Christi to be closer to their family and enjoyed their frequent visits.

Carolyn was proceeded in death by her parents, Henry and Gertrude Fuchs, her two brothers, David and Calvin Fuchs, sister-in-law Normel Beadle France, and brothers-in-law Robert Breaux and Delbert Meier, as well as her mother-in-law and father-in-law Norman William and Elsie Simar Beadle.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Norman Lynn Beadle; two sons, Duane (Rhonda) and John (Tracy) Beadle; eight grandchildren, Jessica Burkman, Jordyn, Kourtney and Karley Beadle, Travis (Shelby), Justin, Stephen, and John Christopher Beadle; and three great-grandchildren, Levi Burkman and Cooper and Hallie Beadle. Carolyn is also survived by her sister, Janice Fuchs Meier, sister-in-law, Maryle Breaux and brother-in-law, Camille France.

Carolyn was a devout Catholic and prayed the rosary daily. She felt the Lord's presence in the Eucharist and shared that love with those around her. She loved to attend mass and was often found playing the organ in the church choir or singing the hymns beside her husband in the pews.

A celebration of her life will take place at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 15, 2023, at the Corpus Christi Cathedral and, at a later date, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Gatesville. Donations can be made to the Diocese of Corpus Catholic Seminaries Fund.
