TNMP launches outage notification system

Posted

Texas-New Mexico Power (TNMP) recently launched a notification system that will alert customers about power outages in the area.

TNMP provides electricity to homes and businesses in Gatesville and several other Central Texas cities. By signing up, users will receive updates after an outage is reported in the area, notifications about scheduled outages, and severe weather alerts ahead of storms.

According to a TNMP press release, the notification system will provide four main features:

  • Real-time alerts: Customers receive immediate notifications via text, email, or voice during any service disruptions.
  • Customized updates: Users can personalize notification preferences and receive updates tailored to their specific location or service plans.
  • Enhanced transparency: Detailed outage reports and estimated restoration times provide customers with clear and accurate information.
  • Seamless communication: A user-friendly interface allows for easy interaction, feedback, and reporting of issues.

Users will receive no more than 10 alerts per hour and can opt out at any time.

“We believe this system will redefine how customers interact with TNMP and perceive their service providers during outages,” TNMP Vice President of Operations Keith Nix said in a press release. “It’s a testament to our continuous efforts to elevate user experience.”
