With her bubbly personality and contagious laugh, Tiffany Hoops-Turner became the ideal candidate to become the executive director of the Gatesville Chamber of Commerce last July,where she had been serving as assistant director.
A former resident of North Texas, Tiffany is enjoying her new career at the chamber. She came to the area with her husband and their two children in June 2017. “I would like to get to know these businesses better and find out their wants and needs, so that I can build the chamber,” she said.
Tiffany said that being director is very fun, yet very challenging – “a challenge because there’s a lot of different personalities with different businesses, and I find it a big deal to like people and to have them like me,” she said.
As far as her plans for the chamber’s future, “I have events planned that might draw more people into the chamber. We are doing more family nights for the holidays, and we’re going to be working on a chili cook-off. With the Christmas parade coming up, we’re going to serve hot chocolate to go along with the parade. We’re going to have more family events for sure,” she said.
After serving her country as a military spouse for over 15 years, Tiffany now calls Gatesville home. “I truly love living in Gatesville and all the people I have met. I look forward to working hard for all the businesses here.
