Stained glass brings color to the courthouse

The stained-glass dome, located in the atrium of the Coryell County Courthouse, has often been described as a “work of art to behold.”

The stained-glass dome, covered with stars, is lit from above by the windows located in the courthouse bell tower.

Visitors to the courthouse can witness the splendor of the courthouse which was constructed in the Second Empire architectural style during what was considered to be the “Gilded Age” of Texas courthouse construction.
