The Ray Family trekked to Waco for the Regional TAAF last week where Trent got first in Discus and second in Shotput in the 18-year-old division, and Riley got eighth in Discus. Congratulations to these Pearl boys for such an awesome showing! The next event will be The Games of Texas in Brownsville on July 27 and 28!

The next Pearl Bluegrass and Pearl Cottage Bookstore event will be held August 5. Everyone is invited to attend, and you don’t have to worry about the heat as the rooms in the Pearl Community Center and the Pearl Cottage Bookstore are air conditioned! So, beat the heat, and come on out to Pearl to enjoy some wonderful live music, fun shopping, good food, and friendly folks! Bring friends!

In September, the annual Atchley Fish Fry and Labor Day Auction benefiting His Kids takes place on September 3rd at the Pearl Church of Christ. Just a little teaser as to one of the items in the auction—a Grandfather Clock! Everyone is always invited to this event, and everyone is always invited to this wonderful church! Their service time is 10:30 a.m. each Sunday morning.
