Mother Neff State Park to host First Day Hike of 2024

To kick-off the new year of 2024, Mother Neff State Park will host its annual First Day Hike on Monday, January 1 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The program is free, but park entrance fees will apply at the cost of two dollars per person for the ages of 13 and older, and children 12 and under are free.

Be sure to bring water, wear sensible shoes, and dress for the weather.

Once you have completed the hike, stop by the Visitor’s Center to share your experience and to receive a memento for participating.

Mother Neff State Park was the first official Texas State Park. The land was donated by Isabella Neff in 1916.
