Meals on Wheels is currently in need of volunteer drivers. Meals on Wheels is a federally funded program for older adults who are homebound, unable to prepare a meal, don’t drive, and have no one to cook for them. The program provides home-delivered nutritious meals to seniors in our community on local routes only.
The Gatesville Senior Center is looking for four drivers per day to drive four different routes. The shifts will be Monday through Friday, starting at 10:30 a.m. The Meals on Wheels run will take approximately one hour to complete. Volunteers can build their own schedules with no contract necessary. If you are a volunteer age 55 or older, you may be eligible for different perks.
