KGB announces the July Yard of the Month

Keep Gatesville Beautiful has chosen the yard of Jean Ann Shirey at 203 North 10^th Street as the July Yard of the Month. 

Jeanne loves butterflies, and plants lots of flowers and bushes that attract them. She cares for her yard herself with occasional help from her son Jonathon. While KGB was visiting her yard there was buzzing and humming with all kinds of pollinators, butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees. She has Phlox, Zinnia, Gregs Mistflower, Sunflowers, Roses, Four O’Clocks, Trumpet Vine, Rose of Sharon, Canas, Lantanas, Cocks Comb, and many other flowers that bloom in other seasons. 

Jeanne has written and published a book called Granny’s Garden and another called Plum Delight, both available on Amazon and soon to be sold locally at the 1854 Mercantile. You may also find her videos on YouTube.
