Karen Dick, a local of Gatesville needs donations for her family during her hospital stay, as medical expenses are not covered by insurance.
Dick experienced a heart attack in the early morning on Monday, Aug. 14 and will have to undergo bypass surgery, along with a long road of recovery ahead of her.
Dick is currently hospitalized in the Intensive Care Unit at Providence in Waco, Texas. Susan Mitcham, Dick’s daughter will be at her bedside through her recovery and has organized a fundraiser on Go Fund Me for donations.
