Jonesboro ISD holds Food for Families Drive

Jonesboro ISD is starting up their annual Food for Families Drive. The deadline for all donations is Wed, Nov. 16.

There will be three different methods of participation, and students will be awarded with a pizza luncheon at the park if they reach the goal amount.

Money and donations will be accepted after the deadline, but for your student to participate in the pizza luncheon, your donation must be received on or before Nov. 16. 

Students who donate $35 or 35 pounds of food will take part in the pizza luncheon. Payment options include either cash or check. Make checks out to “Food for Families.” Another option would be donating through the Backpack Program. All items donated for this cause will stay within the Jonesboro community. Items given for this should have a total value of $35 or a weight of 35 pounds. If possible, please include a copy of the receipt. The last method of donation will consist of writing 35 letters or thank-you cards to military personal or nursing home residents.
