From Nov. 1 through Dec. 4, the Hidden Gem Family Center took names for the Tree of Giving for kids for Christmas. The tree had individual ornaments with children’s profiles and items needed. Items included shoes, toys, and clothes.
They were able to provide for 81 children with the help of the Gatesville community.
On Dec. 18, Bare Bones restaurant donated a trailer load of toys which were able to provide to 50 more children. In total, Hidden Gem provided Christmas presents for a total of 140 children.
Hidden Gem’s director, Jennifer Featherston said, “We can not thank this community enough for helping others in need. Thank each one of you for your generous giving, and may the Lord bless each of you.
The Hidden Gem Family Center is a Non-Profit Organization that focuses on the restoration of families who have been victims of crime, experienced loss, or devastation in their life. They also strive to provide programs and services that will strengthen families.
