On Saturday, Feb. 17, 21 of the Gatesville High School Choir students traveled to the UIL Solo & Ensemble Contest, which was hosted at University High School.
Choir Director Cherith Wells expressed that this will be the largest group from Gatesville High School to compete at the upcoming state competition.
The results include:
Class 1 (Advanced) Solo:
- Anna Phillips: Superior rating, advances to state
- Paisley Wells: Superior rating, advances to state
- Nevin Benning: Superior rating, advances to state
- Katie Hopson: Superior rating, advances to state
- Roman Wallace: Superior rating, advances to state
- Memphis Wells: Superior rating, advances to state
- Coral Bryant: Superior rating, advances to state
- Nahdiah Appleton: Superior rating, advances to state
- Ranyah Garraway: Superior rating, advances to state
- Eli Alvarez: Superior rating, advances to state
- Devyn Ayala: Superior rating, advances to state

- Gracie Key: Excellent rating
