GHS Choir brings home double varsity sweepstakes at April 12 competition

While the choir program has claimed many sweeps over the years, this year marked the first time in GISD history that two Varsity Choirs from Gatesville High School have performed at UIL and both received all Superior ratings.

It was an incredible day for the choir students at Region 8 UIL Concert & Sightreading and they came home with double Varsity Sweepstakes. The Choral Directors were Cherith Wells and Tim Klingler, and the pianist was Nelda Milligan. Wells, who was overjoyed with the choir’s performance asked the public, “Please help us congratulate them.”
