Gatesville Police Department to sponsor National Night Out, Oct. 4

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes strong police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live and work.

The Gatesville Police Department recently announced that National Night Out will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 4, at the Sports Complex from 5:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. National Night Out is designed to heighten drug and crime awareness, strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partners, and send a message to criminals letting them know neighborhoods are organized and fighting back. 

This event will be fun for all ages. There will be free food, safety demonstrations, educational materials, fun games, music, local city/ county information, free giveaways and a chance to visit with your local first responders. Don’t forget to bring your lawn chairs.
