Members of the Gatesville ISD Education Foundation were presented with a $10,000 check by Will Coward, President of The First National Bank of Central Texas.
The First National Bank of Central Texas contributed to the Gatesville Independent School District Education Foundation with a $10,000 donation on Friday, Aug. 11.
With this donation, the Education Foundation will be able to fund teacher grants in the spring. As well as being able to assist teachers with materials, equipment, and field trips throughout the school year.
The Gatesville ISD Education Foundation was formed in 2012 to support innovative classroom teaching, to inspire learning in new directions, and to maximize academic opportunities for Gatesville ISD students.
The Gatesville ISD Education Foundation has goals to:
- Enhance and enrich educational opportunities for students.
- Support and recognize staff for innovative efforts and exemplary teaching.
- Build community awareness for Gatesville ISD Education Foundation
- Involve the community in assuring a quality education for the leaders and workers of tomorrow.
