Eagles soar to finish line at regional meet

The Jonesboro Eagles recently competed at regionals and brought home a plethora of medals.

“I am very proud of them,” coach Nathan Kuehler said.

There were two students and one relay team who punched their ticket to state.

As a team, Lanie Ingram, Ally Thorman, Emily Turner, and Lynlee Deats won second place in the 4 x 200 relay race and will be advancing to state. Payton Brister won first place in shot put and will be advancing to state along with Eric Thorman who placed second in the 110-meter hurdles.

Lady Eagles

Campbell Gustin won fifth place in pole vault and sixth place in the triple jump.

Madison Manning won sixth place in the 800-meter run.

Kodi Suggs won sixth place in the high jump.

Eagles

Eric Thorman won third place in the high jump.

Layden Nichols won fifth place in the triple jump.

Braden Ashby won fifth place in discus.

As a team, DeMarcus Acoff, Luke Stephenson, Eric Thorman, and Layden Nichols won third place in the 4 x 200 relay race.
