The Sterling C. Robertson Chapter of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas will meet on Thursday, Jan. 4, at 1 p.m. The meeting will be held at a new location, the Waco Chamber of Commerce Building, located at 101 S. 3rd Street in downtown Waco. There is a meeting room there, and parking is available.
Bob Anne Senter will discuss I’ll Gather My Geese, the autobiography of Hallie Crawford Stillwell. Hallie married Roy Stillwell in 1918 and learned the ways of a rancher’s wife in the Big Bend area. Her adventures were many. Reading the book before the meeting is not mandatory, but you will want to read it after learning about Hallie.
This meeting is free and open to the public. Prospective members are encouraged to attend.
