CRSP Raises Money to Give Away Free Books with "BINGO for Books!"

Posted

Members of CRSP (Coryell Retired School Personnel) will have their next meeting on Thursday, Feb. 22, at Rancher's Steakhouse.  Social time will be at 9:30 a.m. and the meeting will start at 10 a.m.

After the business meeting, the program will consist of playing "BINGO for BOOKS!" All money donated to play Bingo will be placed in the Chapter's Book Fund to purchase free books for this year's "Children's Book Project." If you just prefer to make a donation to the fund (rather than paying by game), that will be fine, too. Members are asked to help out by bringing small prizes to be awarded to winners. In 2023, our chapter gave away an awesome 3,215 books to children ages 12 and under, but our book fund is very low at the present time.

Of course, members may make donations of money or of books (new or gently used) any time during the year, but the Bingo is just a way of making it fun for us!  If you are not a member of CRSP but would like to donate some books, please contact Marsha Lee at 254-865-2030  or leave a message.

Members may begin to pay their dues at this meeting if they so desire. Dues are $45 ($10.00 for the local chapter and $35.00 for the state).
