City of Gatesville hosts Earth day event

The City of Gatesville held its eighth annual Earth Day event for fifth grade students at the Gatesville Independent School District on Friday, April 19, in the Gatesville Civic Center. The purpose of this event is to help educate our children on recycling, reusing, reduction, and sustainability. Several organizations from Fort Cavazos were present to discuss different topics concerning the environment. Students were able to participate in the presentations. Each student was provided with a drawstring backpack that was fully loaded with prizes.
