The City of Gatesville has recently provided information regarding the upcoming election.
The first day to file for the election began on Monday, July 24, and the last day to file will be on Monday, Aug. 21. The date of the election will be Tuesday, Nov. 7.
The Councilmember seats up for election includes:
- North side of town: Ward 1 Place 1, the applicant must live on the north side of town to run in this place. The incumbent is Claude Williams. Ward 1 Place 3, the applicant must live on the north side of town to run in this place. The incumbent is Meredith Rainer.
- South side of town: Ward 2 Place 5, the applicant must live on the south side of town to run in this place. The incumbent is Greg Casey.
If anyone is interested in picking up an application, visit city hall located at 803 E. Main Street, anytime Monday through Friday, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
