Annual Cross Walk held on Good Friday

Posted

The annual community cross walk was held on Good Friday, March 29.

The three-mile cross walk began at the First Methodist Church and ended at Coryell Community Church (CCC).

Various turns were taken carrying the cross, so that everyone had the chance to walk with it.

During the walk, the group prayed for all surrounding schools and staff, first responders (fire department, law enforcement, and EMS), the military, the local judicial system and its leaders, state and federal leaders, as well as for service organizations like Righteous Roots.

After the conclusion of the cross walk, the community attended a worship rally which was held in the prayer garden at Coryell Community Church (CCC).

“The cross walk is important for several reasons,” Webb said. “It serves as a time of remembrance and celebration for the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.”
