Alison Joy David was born on Feb. 14

Little Miss Alison Joy David was born Wednesday, Feb. 14, at Baylor Scott and White in Roanoke to McKenzie Lois Hopson David.  The baby weighed eight pounds, eleven ounces and is 21-inches long. The proud parents are Zach and McKenzie David. McKenzie is the daughter of Frank and Susie Hopson of Mound.

Miss Olivia Lois Long was baptized Sunday, Feb. 18, during the worship service at Trinity Baptist Church in Gatesville. Those attending were her family and many cousins.

The celebration lunch for Olivia Lois Long was at the Gatesville Feed Mill restaurant.

Ruby and Jacklyn Pullen competed last weekend in Region 4, TJHRA Rodeo Association in Sulphur Springs.  Ruby won fourth in breakaway roping on Saturday. Ruby and Jacklyn are from Rock Wall, and they are Barbara Hopson’s great-nieces.

Emma Blakley, of College Station, came home on Friday and spent the weekend with her parents, Robert and Carolyn Blakley.

Bettie, Carolyn, and Emma Blakley had lunch in Gatesville Friday.

Valerie Ferrell and Carolyn Blakley had lunch in Gatesville Wednesday.

Brodie and his sister, Caymbri Fisher, will be celebrating their birthdays this week.

The Coryell County 4H Horse Judging Team competed in San Antonio Monday, Feb. 12. Allie McPherson was part of the junior team that placed third out of 47 teams.  Kinsley McPherson was a member of the senior team that competed well. The next Horse Judging competition will be the Houston contest in March.

James and Karen Harris, of Kerrville, visited over the weekend with Mrs. Elizabeth Harris and Dennis Harris.

Delecia Reynolds visited Tuesday afternoon with Barbara Hopson.

Doris Hoff of Gatesville visited Friday with Martha Lawhorn.
