Additions made to military exhibit at Coryell Museum

Posted

In August of this year, the original stone walls located in the Dawson Cooper Hall of the Coryell Museum underwent extensive repair work, which resulted in the partial removal of the Coryell County miliary exhibit which was located within the room.

The repair work was recently completed, and the military exhibit was returned to its original location, which now includes a few additional exhibits just in time for Veterans Day.

Rhonda Mohler and Sherry Hopson, Coryell Museum board members and directors of the exhibits committee, added a few more displays to the military exhibit, including the Korean conflict and Iraqi Freedom. The exhibit primarily includes Coryell County’s veterans and their involvement during the war years. The exhibit also contains a display case featuring female veterans and the roles they played during the war.
