Members Lily and Dutch Nielson of the Coryell County 4-H Gun Club took home medals on Saturday, July 22 at the 2023 4-H Shooting Sports State Games.
The 2023 4-H Shooting Sports State Games were concluded on Saturday, July 22 and are held each year at the end of July.
Club members Lily Nielson and Dutch Nielson took medals during the Hunting Muzzle loading Pistol and Rifle portion. Lily Nielson competed in the Intermediate age group and placed first in Smallbore Pistol any sight with a score of 246/300 and placed second in Smallbore Pistol metallic sight with a score of 239/300. Dutch Nielson competed in the Senior age group and placed first in Light Rifle any sight with a score of 374/400.
