Robert (Rob) Benjamin Weaver March 27, 1942 ~ May 14, 2026 Robert (Rob) Benjamin Weaver, 84 of Everman, passed away on Thursday, May 14 in Euless, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 27 at Scott’s Funeral Home in Gatesville, Texas. Interment will follow at Restland Cemetery. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Rob grew up on the family farm and attended school in Jonesboro, Texas. He went on to graduate from Arlington State University, now UT Arlington, with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He worked in the hydraulic industry, building engines and hydraulic systems for stretching power lines and hydraulic parking lifts in downtown areas such as New York City and Chicago. Later in his career, he learned the CAD computer system and did computer design for hydraulic systems. Always having a mechanical mind, he later got into building Hot Rods. Known in the racing industry as “Ace” Weaver, he was instrumental in developing gas ported pistons. Being well thought of in the industry, he was written up in an issue of Hot Rodding Magazine. In his spare time, he was interested in playing Shuffleboard. Not only did he play, he also started making custom Shuffleboard pucks. Rob played Shuffleboard for 40 years and developed some of his best friendships through this. On January 6, 1989, he married Josie Lorine Ellis (Lodi) and was happily married until her death in 1992.

Rob was preceded in death by his wife Lodi; parents Melvin Vaughn and Ruby Holloway Weaver; sister Laura Allen Weatherford and husband, Marvin; brother John Henry Weaver and wife, Norma; sister MaryLou and husband, Robert Powell; brother- in- law Thomas Potter; niece Debbie Powell Montgomery; and nephews Jamie Weaver and Rick Goins.

Rob is survived by his sister Jane Weaver Potter; brother Tecumseh (Tunk) Weaver and wife, Patricia; numerous nieces and nephews; and a stepdaughter Jacqueline Keith and family.
