Small town, big season Jonesboro youths lead area summer success

Look on a map and Jonesboro is barely a blip. However, one group of youngsters has certainly left a large mark with the success they’ve had this summer and fall.

The Gatesville area had six youth teams (four baseball, two softball) advance to their respective state tournaments in the Texas Teenage Baseball-Softball Association recently. Among them, the Jonesboro 12U Eagles enjoyed the best season.
