Gatesville Hornets Fishing Club closed out the summer with Colt Heath (seventh grade) and Case Wendeborn (sixth grade) competed in the Faith Angler Network Championship in mid June.
It was a very hot, tough day at Choke Canyon and the anglers even saw a few alligators.
Sixty-one teams participated.
Heath and Wendeborn finished in 20th place.
They weighed in five fish limit weighing 10.41 pounds.
The Gatesville Fishing Club will begin a new season in the fall.
