Candidates file for city, GISD posts

Two more candidates recently signed up to seek election to either the Gatesville City Council or the Gatesville Independent School District Board of Trustees. These elections will be held Tuesday, Nov. 8, with early voting slated for October.

Aaron Smith is seeking election to a Ward 1, Place 2 position on the Gatesville City Council.

Ginger Kinsey is seeking election to the GISD school board.

The filing deadline for City Council is 5 p.m. Aug. 25, and the deadline to appear on the GISD ballot is Aug. 22.
