Located on the second floor of the Coryell Museum and Historical Center is a small exhibit which depicts what an early-day hotel room might have looked like in Gatesville. On display in that area is a portable/folding bathtub.

In the 19th and early 20th centuries, portable folding bathtubs were sometimes essential solutions for hotels, boarding houses, and homes that lacked indoor plumbing.
