The 52nd annual Shivaree event took place on Saturday, June 6, all day on the Gatesville Courthouse Square to bring a day of summer fun to the local community.Prior to the Saturday festivities, the annual Miss Shivaree pageant took place on Friday evening in the Gatesville High School auditorium.

When visiting the service station exhibit at the Coryell Museum and Historical Center, visitors will see a vintage Coca-Cola cooler on the front porch of the station facade. Back in the day, the Coca-Cola bottles were kept cold by packing them in ice in an insulated cooler chest.

Crime Stoppers Donut Dash considered a success

The annual Cen-Tex Crime Stoppers Donut Dash took place on Saturday, May 16, with the starting point being at the Gatesville City Pool. Runners had the option of running in a 5K or 10K race, both offering unique challenges for runners of all ages.
