Mother Neff State Park to host first program of 2023

Mother Neff State Park will host its first program on the new year on Saturday, Jan. 14. The public is invited to join Lt. Ricky Dolifka as he takes a walk-through hike of Mother Neff while explaining the history of Buffalo Soldiers and the frontier. 

There will be two opportunities to participate in the hike. The first hike will begin at 10 a.m. and the second hike will take place starting at noon. The hikes will be at a beginner skill level. 

There will be no fee for the hikes, but a park entrance fee of $2 is required. Children under 12 years of age can enter free of charge. 

Mother Neff State Park is located at 1921 Park Road 14 near Moody. For any further information contact the park at 254-853-2389.
