As National Crime Victims’ Rights Week 2024 approaches, we're reminded of the importance of solidarity and support for survivors. Under the theme "Options, Services, and Hope for Crime Victim Survivors," we stand together to honor their resilience and offer a helping hand.
Partnerships between the District Attorney's Office and local nonprofits like the Hidden Gem Family Center and Righteous Roots exemplify this commitment. From April 21-27, 2024, we recognize all victims of violent crime and extend vital services to aid their recovery.
This year, we ask you to join us in wearing purple on April 25, 2024, in solidarity with victims everywhere. Purple symbolizes courage and unity, reminding survivors that they're not alone in their journey towards healing and justice.
By wearing purple, we send a powerful message of support and empathy, reaffirming our dedication to creating safer, more compassionate communities. Let's paint the world purple together, honoring victims and survivors alike, as we strive for a future free from violence and injustice.
