The Gatesville Chamber of Commerce has recently announced that nominations are open for the 2023 Gatesville Citizen of the Year award.
The Citizen of the Year award has been given to an outstanding citizen of Gatesville since 1959. Every adult within the community is eligible to nominate one or more people who have made contributions to the town over a significant period.
Nominees who function within the guidelines or requirements of their paid positions will not be considered.
Only one nomination per individual shall be considered regardless of the number of letters or signatures received nominating that individual. The person who is making the nomination should be available to assist with the presentation of the award.
The 2023 Citizen of the Year Award will be presented at the Gatesville Chamber of Commerce Annual Membership Banquet, which will be held on Saturday, Jan. 20.
Nominations must be submitted by Wednesday, Jan. 3, to the Gatesville Chamber of Commerce office in the Cotton Belt Depot Visitors Center. Nomination forms can be found by visiting https://www.gatesvillechamber.com/vote.
