Adding a little pep to STAAR testing

Gatesville Elementary School held a pep rally in honor of STAAR testing this past week on Friday, April 12. A plethora of students were in attendance along with staff and PAL’s members. The Gatesville High School drumline, cheerleaders, and BUZZ performed during the pep rally. The guest speaker was senior Laura Trejo; she is a three-sport student athlete and she explained that working hard in the classroom is important, especially when involved with extracurricular activities. The pep rally concluded with a game that was played with Oreos in which certain students were selected to go up on stage.
