Oglesby Independent School District recently had the honor of recognizing Charles Walter, also known as, “The Voice of Oglesby,” at a recent board meeting this past week.
Walter was chosen as the community spotlight for the month of August due to his continuous support of the school district.
He has been the voice of the Tigers for over 30 years, as he has been the announcer at every Oglesby High School football game since he retired at the end of last season.
“We wanted to honor him for all his years of service to the district,” Oglesby ISD Superintendent Shane Webb said.
