State park to host "A Mother Neff Christmas"

Posted

Mother Neff State Park will be hosting “A Mother Neff Christmas” on Saturday, Dec. 7, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Activities will include geocaching, a scavenger hunt, Christmas crafts, cookie decorating, pictures with Santa, hot cocoa and apple cider, holiday shopping, and guided hikes at 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

There will also be a donation drive benefiting a local pet rescue. Mother Neff State Park Association will be collecting items to support Charlie’s Wags and Whiskers. The following items are in high demand: clumping cat litter, cat treats and food, kitten food, dog treats and food, and cleaning supplies. These essential items will directly support the health and well-being of the animal waiting for their “furever” homes.

Park entry fees will be $2 per person (13+); kids 12 and under will be free.
Mother Neff State Park is located at 1921 Park Road 14 in southeastern Coryell County. For more information about the Christmas event, call 254-853-9044.
