Rev. Bruce Cox was honored with a Pastor Appreciation Sunday on Oct. 27. White Mound Baptist Church and Mound Cowboy Church held a joint service at 10 a.m. at Mound Pavilion. There was a fish fry following the service with about 200 people in attendance.
The Oglesby Varsity Football Seniors held a pep rally at the last home game. Several friends and family came from all over Texas to be there to support Jakson Tippit. Oglesby beat Priddy 68-0.
On Sunday, Cody and Amber Tippit took their son, Jakson, to cast his vote for the first time for the 2024 presidential election.
