The Pearl Cottage Bookstore has an exceptional, rare collection of Robert Redford memorabilia from a massive, private collection.

Many of the pictures and items are autographed. It includes “The Red Book”, which is the official Robert Redford Fan Club Book dating from 1979 to 2012. There are black and white and color autographed pictures, pressbooks, theater posters, photo albums, magazines, newspaper clips, books, buttons, post cards, etc. There are just too many pieces to name as there is a five-page inventory of items. Please contact Linda Ray at 254-865-9282 for more information. Linda said that she will work with individuals or auction companies on the price. Everything is in excellent, like new condition.

Upcoming dates of the Pearl Bluegrass event and the Pearl Cottage Bookstore days for the remainder of 2023 are as follows: June 3, July 1, August 5, (second Saturday in September) September 9, October 7, November 4, and December 2.  Mark these dates on your calendar and come see us in Pearl!

The Pearl Cottage Bookstore has a lot of new items! The store is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the above-listed dates. Most items are “take what you want, pay what you want,” and all proceeds go to local charities. There are over 6,000 books in the store as well as various and sundry other items. You never know what you might find at the bookstore! Go see Kay, Linda, and Corlisa! You’ll come as curious customers and leave as favored friends! This is Pearl Book Cottage’s 14th year!!

The Pearl Cemetery Pavilion is impressive! John Hunt was foreman of the project that was funded by donations from all the country. A plaque with the names of those supporting the project will be placed inside the pavilion soon. Thank you to 38 families, The Pearl Church of Christ, The Pearl Community Fellowship Church, The Pearl Baptist Church, and the Pearl Cottage Bookstore for making this happen. To donate to the Pearl Cemetery Pavilion Project, contact Linda Ray at 254-865-9282, 1771 CR 152, Purmela, Texas 76566. For more information about the Pearl Cemetery, contact Chris Ray at 254-394-0985.

This week’s Bible verse comes from Ephesians 4:32—Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. (NIV)
