The Oglesby Tigers Junior Varsity (JV) Red football team played host to the Abbott Panther JV team on Thursday, Sept. 19.
The Tigers played well but dropped a close game to the Panthers 20 to 6. The game was closer than the score indicated as the Tigers had the ball at one time on the five-yard line, but the Panther defense had a goal line stand, which prevented the Tigers from scoring. The Tigers moved the ball up and down the field but were only able to reach pay dirt one time on a 21-yard touchdown jaunt by Keegan Redford for the Tigers only score.
