The Oglesby Tigers defeated the Methodist Children’s Home (MCH) Bulldogs 60 to 12 on Friday, Sept. 20 at Bulldog Stadium in Waco.
The Tigers were hit by the flu bug early in the week, but managed to recover by Friday and were able to play and get a Tiger win.
The Tigers marched the ball up and down the field and took control early and never relinquished the lead throughout the night. Kyler Fossett took control early as the fleet-foot back weaved his way to five touchdowns. Fossett had 18 carries for 269 yards rushing, three receptions for 47 yards, was 1/2 passing for nine yards, and had a total of 325 total yards for the night.
Jakson Tippit had eight carries for 26 yards and one touchdown.
Aiden Oxford had four carries for 39 yards.
Holdyn Goff was 5/5 passing for 55 yards and one touchdown pass to Mason Marquez.
Hunter Ewing caught one nine-yard touchdown pass in the end zone from Kyler Fossett.
Alex Castillo was 6/7 on point-after-touchdowns (PAT) kicks for 12 points and had a 39-yard kickoff return.
Defensively for the Tigers
Jack Hendricks led with 12 tackles, Jakson Tippit had eight tackles and one fumble recovery, Alex Castillo had seven tackles, Aiden Oxford had three tackles, Holdyn Goff had three tackles, Kyler Fossett had two tackles, and Mason Marquez had one tackle.
Hendricks, Ewing, Goff, and Tippit provided great blocking throughout the game.
The win brings the Tigers season record 2-2 on year.
