The Oglesby Junior High Tigers basketball team defeated the Jonesboro Eagles, 38-5 in Oglesby on Monday, Dec. 2.
The Tiger’s record is now 1-1 after a one-point loss to Abbott last week.
Caiden Brinkley was the leading scorer for the Tigers with 16 points. Liam Standridge added 10 points, Rancher Jeffcoat added four points, AJ Mafra added four points, and Brody Martinez added four points.
Jacob De La Torre and Chayson Leverett also saw playing time for Tigers.
The Oglesby Junior High B Team had their first game of the year. Defeating the Jonesboro Eagles B Team in a close low scoring game, 6-4.
Hunter Insall was the top scorer with four points. Jovani Gonzales added two points in the effort. Kayden Watson, Fernando Uribe, Slayton Fisher, and Judson Marquez all saw action during the game.
The Oglesby Junior High Tigers will travel to Aquilla on Monday, Dec. 9, to play the Aquilla Cougars.
