White Mound Baptist hosts Bro. Knaack

Brother Charles Knaack was the guest preacher at White Mound Baptist Church last Sunday. He has been a missionary to Mexico since 1982. Brother Claudio Campos from Mexico brought the special music in Spanish. Brother Knaack spoke about his church planting efforts and about the orphanage his mission supports. The White Mound Baptist Church members held a potluck dinner after the service to fellowship with their guests.

Kaitlyn Smith was honored with a baby shower on Saturday, Feb. 8, at Mound Cowboy Church. The hostesses were Lizzi Howell, Julie Matthews, Nikki Botkin, Stacy Mercer, Renae Robertson, and Mrs. Nancy Botkin. Kaitlyn Smith had the best baby shower.

Gracie Cantwell and Credence Cox, of Gatesville, visited with Margaret and Barbara Hopson.

Mrs. Martha Ann Lawhorn, Morgan Smart, Elizabeth, and Ryan Phillips attended the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo over the weekend.

(Be My Valentine) Daddy-Daughter Dance was presented by the Gatesville ISD Education Foundation Saturday evening, Feb. 8, at the Gatesville Civic Center. The lineup was Pre-K – 1st grade, 2nd - 4th grade, and 5th - 6th grade.

Rayland Hamilton, of Chandler, spent a few days with Ray and John Stephens.

Mrs. Melba Stephens, of Waco, spent Monday through Thursday at the home of Ray and John Stephens.

Ray and John Stephens hosted the Stephens family reunion on Sunday, Feb. 9, at their home. Those attending were Rick and Suzy Stephens and children of South Lake, Donald Scott and Kim Stephens and family of Pearland, John Paul Stephens and family of Flower Mound.

Mr. Noah Truett Hopson was honored on his 8th birthday on Sunday, Feb. 9, with a party given by his parents, brother, and sister, Paul, Rachel, Benjamin and Emma Hopson. Some of his friends attended.
