Kinsley Elizabeth McPherson competed in the Fort Worth youth horse judging contest as a member of the Texas Quarter Horse Association. Kinsley placed 18th individually out of 168 contestants. Our 4-H horse judging team will be traveling to San Antonio next, followed by Houston.
Bruce and Suzy Cox went to Fort Worth Saturday, Jan. 25, to visit their daughter, Meredith Cox, who lives there. After a delicious barbecue dinner at a local restaurant, they walked through the stock show exhibits and attended the evening performance of the PRCA Rodeo at Dickie’s Arena.
Jakson Tippit, son of Cody and Amber Tippit, was selected to play in the TSCMA ALL Star Football game in June to represent Oglesby High School.
Scott, Kelby, Sterlin, Jerry and Vickie Shults, and Case, Kristen, Paxton Brack, Don and Sue Jones had lunch together Sunday at a local restaurant.
Those who have birthdays this weekend are Kerry Magee and Noah Truett Hopson.
Barbara’s Notes: Correction from last week’s Mound News: Bobby and Nelda Carothers are the great-grandparents of Little Miss McCall Rae Carothers. Also, other grandparents are BJ and Tracy Carothers. Little McCall’s parents are Skyler Carothers and Meagan Justice.
