Jack Davis, age 90, of Gatesville, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2024, in Glen Rose.

Graveside services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 30, at Flint Creek Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Buddy Wheat officiating. 

Jack Charles Davis was born on Jan. 3, 1934 to the late George and Mary June McElhaney Davis in Jacksonville, FL. He was raised and attended school in Nilas, MI. He married Donna Clawson on May 31, 1963, and together they enjoyed 47 years of marriage before her passing in July 2010. Jack honorably served in the United States Naval Reserves for three years and in the United States Army for an additional seven years. After his military career, Jack served as the Maintenance Director for the Dallas Independent School District for 20 years before retiring in 1990. He was a member of the Gatesville Masonic Lodge #197 A.F. & A.M. and served as District Deputy Grand Master in 2003. He was also a member of the Waco Scottish Rite and Waco Karem Shrine. Jack was an active member of The Presbyterian Church of Gatesville. 

Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Clawson Davis, and brother, George Paul Davis.

He is survived by special friend and companion, Linda Davis; son, Jeffrey Craig Davis and wife, Helen; daughters, Schree Watts and husband, Jackie, and Linda Wilkins; sister, Mary Dean; grandchildren, Mandy Dudik and Scotty Watts; three great-grandchildren; and by his special friends, the Cummings family.
