In observance of the Christmas holiday and New Year’s Day, many local businesses and gov-ernmental offices will be observing special hours.
Closings and special hours in the immediate area include:
GOVERNMENT
The City of Gatesville and the City of Evant will be closed on Tuesday, Dec. 24 and on Wednesday, Dec. 25. The City of Oglesby will be closed on Wednesday, Dec. 25 and on Thursday, Dec. 26. All city offices will be closed on Wednesday, Jan. 1 in observance of New Year’s Day.
The Coryell County Courthouse will be closed on Tuesday, Dec. 24, Wednesday, Dec. 25, and on Wednesday, Jan. 1.
The Farm Service Agency will be closed on Wednesday, Dec. 25 and on Wednesday, Jan. 1.
SCHOOLS
Gatesville ISD will be closed on Thursday, Dec. 19 and on Friday, Dec. 20 for Staff Development and Comp Days. The district will then be closed from Monday, Dec. 23 through Friday, Jan. 3 and on Monday, Jan. 6 for a Staff Development Day.
Jonesboro ISD will be closed from Thursday, Dec. 19 through Tuesday, Jan. 14.
Oglesby ISD will have an early release on Friday, Dec. 20 and will be closed from Monday, Dec. 23 through
Friday, Jan. 10, and on Monday, Jan. 13 for a Staff Development Day.
Evant ISD will have an early release on Friday, Dec. 20 and will be closed from Monday, Dec. 23 through
Friday, Jan. 3, and on Monday, Jan. 6 for a Staff Development Day.
The Boys & Girls Club Gatesville Branch will be closed from Monday, Dec. 23 through Wednesday, Dec. 25.
FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS
Extraco Bank will be closed on Wednesday, Dec. 25 and on Wednesday, Jan. 1.
Cadence Bank will be closed on Wednesday, Dec. 25 and on Wednesday, Jan. 1.
Educators Credit Union will be closed on Wednesday, Dec. 25 and on Wednesday, Jan. 1.
The First National Bank of Gatesville, Evant, and Oglesby will close at noon on Tuesday, Dec. 24 and will be closed on Wednesday, Dec. 25. The FNB will also be closed on Wednesday, Jan. 1.
The First National Bank of Central Texas will close at noon on Tuesday, Dec. 24 and will be closed on Wednesday, Dec. 25. The FNB of Central Texas will also be closed on Wednesday, Jan. 1.
POST OFFICES
All local post offices will be closed on Wednesday, Dec. 25 and on Wednesday, Jan. 1.
SENIOR CENTER
The Gatesville Senior & Multi-Service Center will be closed from Monday, Dec. 23 through Wednesday, Dec. 25. The center will also be closed on Tuesday, Dec. 31 and on Wednesday, Jan. 1.
MUSEUM
The Coryell County Museum & Historical Center will be closed on Wednesday, Dec. 25 and on Thursday, Dec. 26. The museum will also be closed on Wednesday, Jan. 1.
NEWSPAPER
The Gatesville Messenger will be closed on Wednesday, Dec. 25, and on Wednesday, Jan. 1.
