The Gatesville High School Athletics Department hosted its 2024 Athletics Hall of Fame Banquet on Saturday, Oct. 19, at Gatesville High School.
The program began at 1 p.m. and was held in the high school cafeteria.
The class of 2024 inductees included athletes Judy Kafer Hurst and Jim Saunders, coach Guy Dean, Don Curry with the 1950-51 boys’ basketball state semifinalists, and the 2009 softball state semifinalists.
Other individuals who were honored at the ceremony included Billy Anderson, Kurt Apel, Roy Cowart, Don Curry, Gordon Jones, Bernard Knapp, Gip Lovejoy, David Sellers, and Carroll Shirley.
