The Gatesville Chamber of Commerce held its annual member banquet on Saturday, Jan. 18, at the Gatesville Civic Center.
The chamber presented five awards to chosen members. The categories awarded at the banquet were Business of the Year, People’s Choice, Director of the Year, Ambassador of the Year, and Citizen of the Year.
“It was another great year for the Gatesville Chamber of Commerce. A big thank you to the directors, ambassadors, junior ambassadors, and Chamber Liaison Yvonne Williams for such a great evening,” Chamber President Mason Matthews said. “I am so thankful for all of those who attended this year’s banquet, and I invite those who didn’t attend to come next year.”

Matthews adds that he extends heartfelt congratulations to each of the award winners.
During the event, the chamber also announced the retirement of Bill Robinette, who spent nine years with the Chamber of Commerce and leaves on good terms.
The purpose of the banquet is to honor the service and achievements of local businesses and individuals of the chamber. This year’s banquet featured an Old Hollywood theme with dinner and drinks.
“The Gatesville Chamber of Commerce has big plans for 2025 with quarterly mixers being scheduled, monthly lunch and learns, Shivaree 2025, Corks and Kegs 2025, The 2025 Christmas parade, and more,” Matthews said. “I would like to thank all of the renewing members and encourage those who have not renewed their membership to do so.”
